Along the coasts of North Pelion, in a distance of approximately 45-50 min with a speed boat from Agios Ioannis, we find a cluster of caves. This is the place where all the ancient Greek myths are revived, the base of Poseidon, the God of the Sea and where the wedding of Thetis and Peleus took place.
We sail close to the beautiful beaches of the north side of east Pelion Peninsula. We pass along Plaka beach and continue to the beach of Banika. Afterwards, we pass from the sandy beach of Agioi Saranta, the village of Horefto with a 2 km long beach, Elitsa beach and Omvrios. Our first stop is at the Caves of Poseidon. Apart from the caves one can closely see a shipwreck from World War II. With our speedboat we can enter in some of the caves to see the astonishing interior or to swim and feel the unique beauty of the place.
